Objective: The aim of this study is to assess the balance of diabetes in patients taking insulin analogues based on a recent value for their glycated hemoglobin.
Methods: 2915 diabetics were evaluated for the period from March to April 2019 with as inclusion criteria a recent glycated hemoglobin and a duration of insulin treatment analogues of more than one year.
Results: Glycated hemoglobin is lower than 7 in only 8% of cases and greater than 9 in 49% of cases. No significant difference in the balance of diabetes according to the length of treatment with insulin analogues.
Conclusion: It is necessary to analyze the real benefit of insulin analogues in terms of diabetes balance as well as the cost-benefit of these molecules.
