Jens Sandahl Christiansen, MD, is professor of medicine and consultant endocrinologist at Aarhus University Hospital, Kommunehospitalet, Aarhus, Denmark. He graduated from Copenhagen University Medical School, and has been trained in diabetes and endocrinology in Copenhagen and Aarhus.

Dr. Christiansen's areas of research are endocrinology and diabetes–in particular diabetic nephropathy, glucose monitoring and clinical and metabolic aspects of GH deficiency. He is the founding member and acting secretary of The Growth Hormone Research Society (GRS), Treasurer and Executive Committee member of The European Federation of Endocrine Societies (EFES), Editor-in-chief of GH & IGF Research and serves on the editorial board of Clinical Endocrinology.

He is the co-author of approximately 450 publications.
