Anne Klibanski, M.D, is Professor of Medicine, Harvard Medical School and Chief, Neuroendocrine Unit and Director of the Neuroendocrine Clinical Center at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston. A leader in the field of neuroendocrinology, Dr. Klibanski's research interests include the pathogenesis of hypogonadal osteoporosis, neuroendocrine control of growth hormone and the pathogenesis of human pituitary tumors. She is on the board of directors for The Pituitary Society; a member of the Endocrine Society Council, and Scientific Advisory Board; and a member of the National Osteoporosis Foundation. She has served on NIH study sections and was the Chairman of the NIH 2001 Osteoporosis Consensus Conference. Her committee assignments include the Subcommittee of Professors at Harvard Medical School, Scientific Advisory Committee, Executive Committee on Research, Trustees’ Committee on Women in Science and the Academic Council at Massachusetts General Hospital. She is the recipient of the Harvard Medical School Dean's Award for mentoring women in science. She has served on NIH study sections as a member and ad-hoc reviewer. Dr. Klibanski has served on the editorial board of the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism and is co-chairperson of the Program Committee of the Pituitary Society Council. The author of over 150 papers and chapter, she received the Endocrine Society 2002 Clinical Investigator Award.
